Anmerkungen

Dom Štampe in Zenica was one of the few printing facilities operating inside Bosnia and Herzegovina during the siege period, which is precisely why this note exists at all. Producing currency domestically while the country was at war — with supply chains severed and international access severely restricted — was a logistical and political statement as much as an economic necessity.

The watermark is modest by any standard, a reflection of wartime production constraints rather than indifference to security. Inflation rendered small denominations like this one nearly worthless within months of issue.
