| Obverse description | Central field features the numeral 5 in Eastern Arabic script within a pointed oval cartouche, flanked by the word 'dinar' in Nastaliq script below. The cartouche is enclosed by a fine beaded border and surrounded by elaborate foliate and arabesque scrollwork filling the entire field. A small imperial crown surmounts the design at the top. The Solar Hijri date 1314 appears in Eastern Arabic numerals within a cartouche at the base of the design. |
