Reverse description Central device depicts the imperial Iranian state emblem: a rampant lion passant facing dexter, holding an upright sword in its right forepaw, with a rising sun radiating rays behind it. The ensemble is surmounted by the Pahlavi imperial crown. The lion and sun motif is framed by a wreath of oak and laurel branches tied at the base. The Persian legend 'پنج دینار' (Five Dinars) appears in Nastaliq script beneath the lion along the lower field.
