Thomas De La Rue printed the series using their standard intaglio and offset combination process, with a single watermark as the primary security provision — modest by the standards of the mid-1990s, when multilayer security threads were already commonplace on comparable West African issues.

Pick 16 is not rare, but genuine circulated examples in collectable condition are less common than their initial print runs suggest — the Gambia's hot, humid climate is genuinely punishing on cotton-substrate notes.
