| Reverse description | Left-facing bust portrait of Jules Rimet in civilian dress occupies the left portion of the field, with the original FIFA World Cup trophy — the winged Nike figure atop a pedestal — depicted to his right. A football rendered in relief appears at the top of the field between the two segments of the upper legend. The lower arc bears the inscription JULES RIMET TROPHY 1930–1970, commemorating the trophy's tenure as the prize of the FIFA World Cup, while the upper arc reads WORLD CUP '94. |

| Additional information |
Issued to commemorate the 1994 FIFA World Cup, this piece references Jules Rimet, the French football administrator who championed the creation of the tournament and after whom the original trophy was named. Rimet served as FIFA president for 33 years — longer than any other holder of that office. The original trophy he inspired was stolen in England ahead of the 1966 tournament, recovered by a dog named Pickles, and later stolen again in Brazil in 1983, this time never to be found.
