Issued to commemorate the 1994 FIFA World Cup, this piece references Jules Rimet, the French football administrator who championed the creation of the tournament and after whom the original trophy was named. Rimet served as FIFA president for 33 years — longer than any other holder of that office. The original trophy he inspired was stolen in England ahead of the 1966 tournament, recovered by a dog named Pickles, and later stolen again in Brazil in 1983, this time never to be found.
