Obverse description Black intaglio print on white paper. Two oval vignettes flank the central text panel: at left, a standing allegorical female figure holding foliage, and at right, a pastoral scene with figures and a tree. The central panel carries the denomination numeral '5' in guilloche surrounds with the text 'CINCO' repeated, above the date '1º Noviembre de 1914' and the place of issue 'San José'.
