Reverse description Central field displays the denomination in two large Chinese characters, 五錢 (Five Jeon), rendered in bold regular script. The denomination is flanked on both sides by a symmetrical laurel-style wreath tied at the base, with a stylized plum blossom — the Imperial Seal of Korea — positioned prominently at the top of the wreath. The entire design is contained within a plain raised rim, with the composition lending the surfaces a silvery appearance characteristic of the copper-nickel alloy used for this issue.
