| 备注 |
The Amoy Industrial Bank was a regional institution operating out of Xiamen (Amoy) during the Japanese occupation of the city, which began in May 1938. Notes issued under its name during this period circulated within a Japanese-controlled economic zone — the bank functioned as part of the occupying administration's effort to manage local commerce and displace existing currency systems rather than as an independent Chinese financial body.
The 1940 date places this note squarely within that occupation currency framework. Pick S1658 is a scarce survivor from a printing run that had no reason to outlast the war.
