| 正面描述 | Central round perforation surrounded by the large denomination numerals '5' and 'Ct' in bold script, surmounted by a Dutch royal crown above the hole. A wreath of stylised olive branches frames the central design. The legend NEDERLANDSCH arcs across the lower field, with the date split as '19' to the left and '11' to the right flanking the word INDIE, and the word PROEF inscribed below, identifying this piece as a pattern or proof trial strike. |

Pattern coinage from the Royal Dutch Mint in this period was frequently produced to test new alloys under consideration for regular circulation issues. The copper-nickel composition here was being evaluated as a potential replacement for the nickel coinage then in use, a shift that never materialized for this denomination in 1911. Patterns of this type were struck in extremely limited numbers, distributed almost exclusively to mint officials and the Treasury for evaluation, and were never released commercially.
