| Reverse description | Central round perforation encircled by a stylised scalloped border, flanked on either side by two confronting mythical serpentine creatures (naga) rendered in low relief. Javanese script legend curves across the upper arc of the field, while Jawi (Arabic-script Malay) legend occupies the lower arc, both recording the coin's denomination as one-twentieth of a Rupiah. The overall design reflects the multicultural character of the Netherlands East Indies colonial coinage. |
