备注

Ship's Service stores operated aboard U.S. Navy vessels as the onboard equivalent of a canteen or general store — sailors purchased goods using scrip rather than cash to prevent coin loss at sea and simplify accounting. The USS Oklahoma issued this 5-cent denomination sometime in 1941, which places it in the months before December 7th. The Oklahoma was sunk at Pearl Harbor during the Japanese attack, capsizing with the loss of 429 men.

Very few pieces of Oklahoma Ship's Service scrip are known to survive.
