| Obverse description | The Sri Lanka national Coat of Arms rendered in high relief at centre, depicting a golden lion passant holding a sword in its right forepaw, set within a circular medallion surrounded by a decorative beaded border and a wreath of petals. Above the central medallion a Dhamma Chakra (eight-spoked wheel) is prominently featured. The base of the arms displays a traditional oil lamp flanked by a lotus flower and a sprig of leaves on each side, the whole composition contained within the square planchet's field without additional legend. |
