备注

The Occupation-era scrip economy in Japan was surprisingly fragmented. Individual clubs, messes, and recreational facilities operated by Allied forces frequently issued their own low-denomination chits rather than rely on the Military Payment Certificates that governed larger transactions. The Yuraku Officers Club in Tokyo was one such facility — its scrip circulated exclusively within the club and had no standing outside it.

By 1950, MPC Series 481 was current, but small-change scrip of this kind filled a practical gap the official system didn't bother with. Few pieces survived once the clubs closed and occupation personnel rotated home.
