| Obverse description | Right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II as depicted at approximately 77 years of age, bare-headed and adorned with a necklace and earrings, after the portrait by Susan Taylor. The legend encircles the bust in the field, with the commemorative dual dates "1952" and "2022" separated by four pearls below the portrait, symbolising the four distinct royal effigies that appeared on Canadian coinage throughout Her Majesty's reign. The designer's initials "SB" appear near the truncation. |
