| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bare-headed left-facing effigy of King George VI, modeled by T.H. Paget, occupying the central field of the dodecagonal flan. The portrait shows the King in a naturalistic style with fine hair detail. The surrounding legend reads GEORGIVS VI D:G:REX ET IND:IMP: in raised Latin characters, separated by raised dots, running along the inner border of beaded rim. The initials HP appear truncated at the shoulder, attributing the portrait to sculptor Humphrey Paget. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | A large Victory 'V' motif dominates the central field, with a flaming torch rising from the centre of the V, symbolising Allied victory in World War II. The date is split to either side of the torch within the arms of the V, with a small maple leaf at lower left and lower right flanking the base. The legend CANADA arcs across the upper field and CENTS appears along the lower margin. A Morse code message encircles the design along the rim, encoding the phrase 'We win when we work willingly.' The engraver's initials T.S. for Thomas Shingles appear at the base of the torch. |
