Obverse description Uncrowned effigy of King George VI facing left, rendered in high relief with fine sculptural detail. The king is depicted with a bare head, the portrait occupying the central field of the dodecagonal flan. The encircling legend reads GEORGIVS VI D : G : REX ET IND : IMP:, separated by decorative points. The truncation of the bust is clean, with no additional ornament or engraver's mark visible on the obverse.
