| Beschrijving voorzijde | Right-facing uncrowned effigy of King George VI occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and facial features. The legend GEORGIVS VI DEI GRATIA REX arcs around the upper periphery in raised Latin capitals, while the lower field is left plain. The portrait, engraved by Thomas Shingles after the model by T.H. Paget, presents the king in a simple, unadorned style without robes or insignia. The milled dodecagonal border frames the design, and the engraver's initials appear discreetly below the truncation of the bust. |
