| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents a boldly rendered beaver perched atop a rocky outcropping at the water's edge, its distinctive paddle-shaped tail extending to the right, depicted in high-relief frosted silver against a gold-plated field. This iconic design, originally created by G.E. Kruger Gray for Canadian coinage, is faithfully reproduced here with exceptional sculptural detail in the animal's dense fur and the rippling water surface. A stylized maple leaf device appears on each side of the beaver in the upper field. The denomination '5 CENTS' arcs along the upper legend in gold lettering, while 'CANADA' and the date '2019' appear in the lower field, also rendered in gold. The engraver's initials 'K·G' are visible to the lower left of the central device, and a beaded inner border encircles the entire composition. |

This is one of the Royal Canadian Mint's large-format fine silver collector pieces, part of a broader program of oversized restrikes revisiting classic Canadian coinage designs. The five-cent beaver design it references originated with Emmanuel Hahn in 1937, introduced under a competitive selection process organized by the newly formed Coinage Committee — the same review that swept out the imperial imagery that had dominated Canadian coinage for decades.
At 157.6 grams of .9999 silver, the piece is essentially bullion dressed as numismatica.
