| Reverse description | A finely detailed pineapple (Ananas comosus) dominates the central field, its crown of leaves extending toward the upper portion of the coin. Flanking the base of the pineapple are two symmetrical decorative sprays of foliage tied with scrolled ribbons, forming an open garland. The date is divided by the pineapple stem, with '19' to the left and the final two digits to the right at mid-field. The denomination FIVE CENTS is inscribed vertically, split between the left and right periphery, all within a beaded border. The Franklin Mint mintmark appears at the bottom of the field. |
