Obverse description Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, wearing the St. Edward's Crown, with hair dressed and gathered at the nape, engraved by Cecil Thomas. The truncation of the bust is bare. The circular legend QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND runs around the periphery, with a beaded border encircling the entire design.
