Opmerkingen

Pacific Architects & Engineers operated as a major U.S. defense contractor in South Vietnam, running civilian logistics and base-support operations under contract with the Department of Defense. Like other large contractors on the ground, PA&E issued its own scrip for use within company facilities — canteens, clubs, and PX-style outlets — to prevent U.S. dollar currency from leaking into the local Vietnamese economy, which was official policy throughout the war.

Club scrip of this type was never redeemable outside the issuing organization and was periodically invalidated and replaced with new printings to combat counterfeiting and hoarding. The date range reflects the duration of the contract, not a single print run.
