| Obverse description | The post-2000 South African national coat of arms depicted centrally in the field, featuring a Kori bustard with outstretched wings surmounting a shield charged with two human figures in the style of San rock art, flanked by crossed spears and knobkieries, with wheat sheaves at the base and a rising sun motif above.
