Obverse description The Rhodesian coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield supported by a sable antelope on the left and a kudu on the right, with a Zimbabwe bird as the crest atop a mural crown. The motto ribbon below the shield bears the Latin legend SIT NOMINE DIGNA. The engraver's initials T.S. appear in the lower field, and the country name RHODESIA is inscribed in bold letters along the lower periphery.
