Reverse description A large admiralty-pattern ship's anchor is depicted upright at centre, with its stock, shank, crown, and flukes rendered in moderate relief against a plain field. The commemorative legend '100TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE TITANIC 1912-2012' curves along the upper rim. The dates '1912' and '2012' flank the anchor in the mid-field, one to each side, marking the centenary of the RMS Titanic's sinking.

Additional information

Redonda is an uninhabited volcanic islet in the Caribbean claimed by Antigua and Barbuda, with no functioning government, no population, and no monetary system. Its use as a coin-issuing authority is a commercial fiction exploited by private minting operations to produce novelty pieces with no legal tender status anywhere. The Titanic centenary market was saturated with such issues in 2012.
