Obverse description The Venezuelan national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield with a galloping white horse in the lower section, a sheaf of wheat in the upper left quarter, and crossed swords and flags with a fasces in the upper right quarter. An arc of seven five-pointed stars surmounts the shield. The circular legend ESTADOS UNIDOS DE VENEZUELA runs along the upper periphery, and the date appears in the lower exergue. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded border.
