| 表面の説明 | Printed on orange card stock, the obverse presents the municipal coat of arms in green alongside the issuer inscription and face value in black letterpress, the overall layout spare and utilitarian in character consistent with wartime emergency production. The design eschews decorative vignettes or guilloche work in favour of functional typography centred within the card format. |

Igualada is a textile-producing town in the Anoia comarca of Catalonia, and like hundreds of Spanish municipalities during the Civil War, it issued its own emergency fractional currency when the Republic's small-change supply collapsed after July 1936. These local emissions — collectively documented in the Turró catalogue — were produced under wildly inconsistent conditions, often by local print shops with whatever materials were available. Thick card stock was a practical choice: it survived handling better than standard paper at very small formats.
The Ajuntament authorized this series under the broader framework of Generalitat de Catalunya decrees permitting municipal currency. Whether the full authorized quantity actually entered circulation is unknown.
