| Obverse description | Plain cream ground with a double-rule rectangular border, corner squares at each angle. The face value '5 céntims' is printed in large red letterpress type along the left margin, separated from the main text field by a vertical rule. The upper register carries the issuing authority in black Gothic and Roman typefaces, with the body text setting out the bearer obligation and redemption terms tied to the December subsidy allowance, dated El Vendrell, January 1938; the mayor's printed signature 'Josep Calvo' appears at lower right beneath the title 'L'Alcalde', with a sequential serial number stamped at lower left.
