| 背面描述 | Central round hole flanked by two decorative sprigs — an olive branch to the left and a wheat or laurel sprig to the right — rendered in fine relief. The numeral '5' appears prominently in the upper left field, with the word 'CENTIMES' to its right. The legend 'TUNISIE' arcs across the upper portion of the field, while 'PROTECTORAT FRANCAIS' curves along the lower periphery. The Gregorian year appears below the central hole between the two sprigs, and the whole design is enclosed within a beaded border. |

These pieces were struck under the Husainid bey Muhammad V al-Nasir during the French Protectorate, when Tunisia's coinage was administered jointly through the Régence de Tunis framework — the bey's name appeared on the coins while Paris controlled monetary policy entirely. The nickel-brass alloy was a wartime compromise; the years 1918–1920 bracket the transition out of World War I, when base metal substitutions across French-administered territories had become institutionalized out of necessity rather than preference.
