| Popis rubu | The reverse of this lead control trial reproduces the standard Lindauer design for the 5 centimes coinage of the Third Republic. At center, a central hole is surrounded by the large numeral '5' to the left and the denomination abbreviation 'C MES' to the right, flanked by stylized laurel and oak branch ornaments. The Republican motto 'LIBERTÉ ÉGALITÉ FRATERNITÉ' arcs along the upper periphery in Latin script, while the date '1921' appears in the lower exergue area. The entire coin design is sunk into a thick lead slab with prominent concentric ridges around the impressed area, characteristic of a die verification strike used by the Monnaie de Paris to confirm die integrity before production. |
