| Reverse description | The reverse presents a double-ring composition: a broad outer legend band carries the full commemorative inscription in French, while an inner circle frames a central field with five lines of text naming Leopold I, King of the Belgians, and the 25th anniversary of the inauguration of his reign. A radiant sunburst motif at the top of the inner circle is flanked by a ring of eighteen six-pointed stars arranged around the perimeter of the inner border, lending the design a ceremonial and celebratory character. A small mint mark 'b' appears in the lower central field below a horizontal rule. The entire composition is enclosed within a milled border. |
