| Aversbeschreibung | Bare-headed effigy of Grand Duchess Charlotte facing left, with her hair styled in soft waves swept upward and gathered at the nape. The portrait is rendered in a refined, naturalistic style by engraver Roessler and occupies the central field. The circumferential legend reads CHARLOTTE GRANDE-DUCHESSE DE LUXEMBOURG, and the date 1930 appears in the lower field flanked by two small five-pointed stars. A raised rim borders the design. |

| Reversbeschreibung | The large numeral 5 dominates the central field, with the denomination legend CENTIMES inscribed in bold capitals immediately below. A five-pointed star is positioned at the top of the field above the numeral. Flanking the central design are two sprays: a wheat ear to the left and an olive branch to the right, both rendered in fine relief and symbolizing prosperity. A raised rim encircles the entire composition. |

| Zusätzliche Informationen |
Charlotte came to the throne in 1919 following a referendum that narrowly preserved the monarchy — her predecessor Wilhelm IV's German sympathies during the occupation had left the institution on shaky ground. The 1930 bronze centimes issue falls squarely in the interwar period when Luxembourg was rebuilding both its economy and its political identity after leaving the German Customs Union and pivoting toward the Belgium-Luxembourg Economic Union, established in 1921.
Mintage for this type was handled by the Brussels mint, which struck the bulk of Luxembourg's coinage throughout Charlotte's long reign.
