| Aanvullende informatie |
Annonay, an industrial town in the Ardèche, issued locally-struck aluminium nécessité coinage during the First World War as the French government's wartime metal requisitions and the near-total disappearance of small bronze coins from circulation left municipalities scrambling to fill the gap. Hundreds of French communes did the same between 1914 and 1922, but the Ardèche issues tend to surface less frequently than those from larger industrial centers, likely reflecting smaller original mintages rather than heavier circulation losses.
