Obverse description Right-facing bust of Pope Pius XII in high relief, depicted wearing the papal zucchetto and richly embroidered vestments with a detailed cope visible at the truncation. The effigy is rendered in a fine medallic style characteristic of Mistruzzi's work. The circular legend reads PIVS·XII·PONT·MAX·A·VI, with the pontifical year (Anno VI) separated by a dot, distributed around the upper and lower fields.

Reverse description A dove in dynamic flight occupies the central field, depicted with wings fully spread and descending toward the lower right, carrying an olive branch in its beak — a classical symbol of peace. The design is executed with fine feather detail against a plain field. The circular legend STATO·DELLA·CITTÀ·DEL·VATICANO runs along the upper periphery, while the denomination CENT·5 and the mint year appear in the lower exergual area, flanking the numeral.
