Obverse description The papal coat of arms of Pope Pius XI occupies the central field, displaying the tiara and crossed keys above the shield, with the Chigi family heraldic device prominently rendered. The jubilee dates 1933 and 1934 flank the shield to the left and right respectively. The circular legend reads PIVS XI P·M·AN·IVB·, identifying the pontiff and referencing the Holy Year (Annus Iubilaeus). The design is executed in high relief with fine engraving characteristic of Aurelio Mistruzzi's medallic style.
