| 正面描述 | Bare-headed bust of Joachim Murat (Gioacchino Napoleone) facing left, rendered in a neoclassical style with elaborately curled hair. The effigy is finely modeled with strong facial features and a truncated neck. The circular legend reads GIOACCHINO to the left and NAPOLEONE to the right, in raised Latin letters around the periphery of the field. |

Joachim Murat issued this copper coinage in 1813 as his Kingdom of Naples was already slipping from his grasp — Napoleon's catastrophic Russian campaign the previous year had shattered French hegemony across Europe, and Murat was privately negotiating with Austria even as he struck coins in his own name. He would eventually switch sides in January 1814, a calculated betrayal that briefly preserved his throne before he reversed course again in 1815, leading directly to his capture and execution by firing squad in Calabria that October.
