Obverse description The Bolivian national arms displayed centrally as an oval shield, depicting a mountainous landscape with a llama, a breadfruit tree, and a radiant sun in the upper portion. The shield is surmounted by a condor with wings displayed and is flanked on each side by crossed flags and weapons — including cannons, rifles, and battle axes — arranged symmetrically behind the arms. A wreath of laurel and olive branches frames the lower portion of the composition, and nine five-pointed stars are arranged in an arc along the lower field. The circular legend REPUBLICA BOLIVIANA runs along the upper periphery, and the entire design is bordered by a beaded inner rim.
