正面描述 Uniformed bust of Francisco Hernández de Córdoba facing forward, centered in the field, with the legend REPUBLICA DE NICARAGUA arcing above and the date flanked by decorative stars below. The word TRIAL is counterstamped to the left of the bust, identifying this piece as an official trial strike. The portrait is rendered in moderate relief with clear facial and uniform detail characteristic of mid-twentieth-century die work.

附加信息

Trial strikes of this type were produced for official review before final authorization of a coinage series — not for circulation, and not for sale. Nicaragua's monetary authority in the mid-1960s was navigating relationships with multiple potential minting contractors, and trial pieces in alternative metals were a standard part of that vetting process. The nickel composition here differs from the aluminum-bronze used in regular 5 centavos issues of the period.

KM#Ts9 survivors are essentially institutional artifacts — struck in minimal numbers, distributed to approving officials, and rarely accounted for afterward.
