Reverse description The reverse displays the Sello de Hacienda, Paraguay's treasury seal coat of arms, centrally placed within the field. This device differs from the obverse arms and served as the fiscal emblem of the Paraguayan state. The national motto PAZ Y JUSTICIA arches along the upper periphery, while the denomination 5 CENTos and the fineness statement 9 Dos FINO appear in the lower portion, indicating the coin's silver content of nine-tenths fine. The overall composition is symmetrical and formally arranged in the tradition of 19th-century Latin American pattern coinage.
