| 备注 |
Bolivia's inflation in the mid-1980s was among the worst ever recorded — at its peak in 1985, the annual rate exceeded 20,000 percent. The 100,000 Pesos Bolivianos note had become essentially worthless within months of issue. Rather than print an entirely new series, the Banco Central simply overstamped existing stock with the redenominated value in the newly introduced Boliviano, itself pegged at one million old Pesos. The overprint was a stopgap, not a planned issue.
Casa da Moeda do Brasil handled both the original printing and the overprint work — an unusual continuity that kept production offshore during a period when Bolivia's own institutional capacity was severely strained.
