Reverse description The large numeral 5 dominates the central field, with the denomination legend CENTAVOS arcing beneath it along the lower portion of the coin. The numeral and inscription are enclosed within a wreath of laurel and other botanical elements tied with a ribbon bow at the base, the branches rising symmetrically on either side to meet at the top. The field within the wreath is plain, and the entire design is contained within a milled border. Two distinct varieties exist, distinguished by the size of the top serif on the numeral 5 (KM#183.1 large top 5; KM#183.2 small top 5).
