| Obverse description | A condor with wings spread, perched upon a rocky outcrop, occupies the central field. The bird faces left with its wings raised in a heraldic display, rendered in fine relief with detailed feather engraving. The Santiago mint mark (So) appears in small incuse letters at the base of the rocky ground. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CHILE arcs along the upper periphery in bold Latin capitals. |

| Reverse description | The denomination numeral '5' is displayed prominently in large, bold relief at the centre of the field, with the inscription CENTAVOS immediately below and the four-digit date below that. The central device is flanked on both sides by symmetrical olive branches curving upward from the base, their sprigs meeting at the lower margin to form a decorative wreath frame. The overall design is clean and unadorned, giving full emphasis to the face value. |
