| 备注 |
Maasin, the capital of Southern Leyte, was among dozens of Philippine municipalities that issued their own emergency guerrilla or civilian currency during the Japanese occupation. These local scrip issues filled the void left by the disruption of central banking and the rejection — often active, sometimes dangerous — of Japanese Military Administration notes by rural communities. Municipal issues from Leyte are among the harder Philippine wartime scrip to document with precision, as many were produced in tiny print runs with whatever paper and printing capacity was locally available.
Survival rates are low. Most were redeemed, destroyed, or simply fell apart given the poor materials used under wartime conditions.
