背面描述 The reverse presents a large, prominent numeral 5 occupying the central field, rendered with either vertical or horizontal shading depending on the variety, encircled by an ornamental ring device. The date 1915 is inscribed in the upper field above the central motif. A wreath of laurel branches frames the design on both sides, tied at the base. The overall composition is simple and functional, consistent with the emergency token coinage produced by the State of Aguascalientes during the Mexican Revolution.

附加信息

Aguascalientes issued copper emergency coinage in 1915 under the pressures of the Mexican Revolution, when the Constitutionalist forces under Carranza had disrupted federal minting operations so thoroughly that individual states were compelled to produce their own currency to keep local commerce functioning. These state issues were explicitly provisional — intended to circulate only within the issuing state and redeemable once central authority was restored.

Many were never redeemed. The Carranza government's 1916 demonetization of revolutionary-era state issues left holders with worthless copper, which is precisely why so many survivors show minimal circulation wear.
