| Obverse description | Two finely detailed blossoms of Potentilla nitida (pink cinquefoil) rendered in high relief occupy the central field, with delicate stamens clearly articulated. The date 2003 appears in the upper field above the floral motif. A circular legend reading PRUEBA · TRIAL · ESSAI · PROBE runs along the periphery, separated by small stylised shield emblems of the Slovenian coat of arms. Below the central design, the species name POTENTILLA NITIDA is inscribed, and the issuer legend REPUBLIKA SLOVENIJA curves along the lower rim.
