| 正面描述 | Right-facing crowned effigy of Queen Elizabeth II after the portrait by Ian Rank-Broadley, set within a beaded inner circle. The surrounding border is richly ornamented with an intricate Art Nouveau-style relief of intertwining floral and foliate scrollwork. The legend REPUBLIC OF GHANA arcs above and ELIZABETH II to the left, with FIVE CEDIS to the right; the specifications 50g, Ag999, and the date 2021 appear below the portrait. |

Ix Chel is the Maya goddess of the moon, medicine, and weaving — her inclusion in a Ghanaian state issue is a straightforwardly commercial decision, part of a broader wave of bullion and collector coins that national mints and issuing authorities have licensed out to European bullion dealers, particularly since the mid-2010s. The Bank of Ghana's name appears on the coin, but the creative and commercial apparatus behind it almost certainly originates elsewhere.
