Reverse description The reverse of this cast iron cash coin presents the same raised inner and outer rims as the obverse, framing the central square hole. Two Chinese ideograms in regular script are positioned in the upper and lower fields relative to the square aperture. The fields are otherwise plain, consistent with standard Southern Song denomination-marking practice. Surface encrustation and corrosion are evident across the reverse, typical of iron cash coins of this period.
