| Obverse description | An intaglio-engraved portrait of Libertador Simón Bolívar in military uniform is set within an oval vignette at the right, captioned LIBERTADOR SIMÓN BOLÍVAR below. The centre of the note carries a large guilloche underprint in pink and green tones with the bold numeral 5 and the denomination CINCO BOLIVIANOS in letterpress, flanked by red serial numbers and series letter.
