| Obverse description | Central device features the arms of Macau — the Portuguese royal shield superimposed upon an armillary sphere, all surmounted by a mural crown — set within a beaded inner border. The Latin legend MACAU arcs across the upper field, flanked by two five-pointed stars on each side, with the Chinese characters 門 (left) and 澳 (right) positioned at the mid-field flanking the shield. The date 1952 is inscribed along the lower arc in large numerals. The entire design is contained within a beaded rim. |
