| Obverse description | Uniformed bust of Ahmad Shah Qajar facing slightly left, wearing a distinctive Qajar military uniform with epaulettes and a tall lambskin Kolah hat surmounted by an aigrette plume. The effigy is framed by an open wreath of oak and olive branches tied with a ribbon at the base. The Arabic-script date ۱۳۳۷ (AH 1337) appears in the exergue below the portrait. A fine beaded border encircles the entire design. |
