Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Persian legend in bold Nasta'liq script, reading a royal mint verse proclaiming the sovereignty of Shah Tahmasp II, with the mint name Tabriz and the AH date 1135 prominently inscribed in the lower portion. The inscription fills the entire flan, rendered in deeply struck, calligraphic relief characteristic of Safavid hammered coinage. A border of alternating large and small pellets frames the design, separating the central inscription from the plain rim. Floral spray ornaments and small dot clusters are interspersed among the letters as decorative fillers. The overall composition reflects the refined Safavid tradition of epigraphic coin design, with no figural imagery.
